After a long period of confinement, the simple pleasure of being able to contemplate a landscape is a form of freedom. Our landscape, whether urbanized or in a natural setting, offers an escape route to the mind. A landscape offering an unobstructed view is a feast for the senses, the mind frees itself as well as the thought. There is a way for our mind to loosen up in the space proper to the contemplation of the landscape.
Traditionally in painting, the landscape evokes a notion of nature most often virgin from the hand of man. Today, urban and industrial landscapes have become essentials in our lives and evoke other sensations in us just as powerful and intriguing as the contemplation of a natural one. Urban nature has become our other wild territory; the urban jungle. This collection offers through the eyes of our artists the possibility of visualizing the diversity of their own real or imaginary landscapes. To acquire a landscape offers the possibility to escape in an imaginary space, a window to free our mind.
