I realize works where the energy of colour, the texture and the partitioning are essential, trying to give each work of art some power and depth. It can be said that my works express primordial feelings controlled by reason – finally showing something organic in a tidy ambience.

“Candy Forest” is a colorful, multi-layered and slightly textured abstract landscape composition. “Black Traces” is a multi-layered and textured abstract composition that deals with one of the artist’s central themes – the aesthetics of decay. Stylistically, the painting can be considered as a mixture of Informel and Action Painting. Besides a color and form aesthetic pleasure the painting leaves room for the viewer’s imagination. “Frayed Black Square” is a multi-layered and slightly textured abstract composition in the tradition of Color Field Painting (e. g. Clyfford Still, Barnett Newman and Mark Rothko). The painting is deliberately kept clear and simple. Besides a color aesthetic pleasure, the painting should have a calming effect on the viewer in an increasingly hectic world. “Colossus” is a multi-layered and partly heavy-textured abstract composition. The painting is inspired by the former industrial culture (esp. pithead frames) in the artist’s area. From a stylistic point of view “Colossus” can be considered as a mixture of Informel and Matter Painting Haute Pate. The black brushwork creates a kind of massive framework, which is broken up by the layers of paint underneath. A rough texture (cement) forms a frame for the construction, for the huge object in the centre of the painting. Materials: acrylic, pigments, cement on canvas. “In Tiers II” is a multi-layered and textured abstract composition. The paining should remind of early architectural construction methods of humanity. The folds around the color fields are formed from fine cement. They partition the painting and stand out a little - which gives the painting a rough texture. With the exception of the corners, the colors are distributed symmetrically. Overall, a warm, slightly weathered impression is created.  “Clearing Up” is an intuitively created multi-layered and slightly textured abstract painting.     The title is meant to be an allegory for difficult things changing for the better – out of the dark.
