8x8X64 is a collection of 64 wall sculpture dioramas arranged as a 3D chessboard created during the pandemic in the artist's studio using available materials. Using chessboard as a metaphor of almost endless possible moves, yet confined to a field of 64 squares, Rosenberg crafts abstraction of stories within each diorama square and leaves it up to the viewer to elaborate on the theme of the story with an occasional hint, or a MacGuffin,  though the title of the piece.
