When I'm not painting, I think about what I want to paint. I don't think about painting only when I paint. At this moment, I seem to fall into meditation, my whole body together with my mind, work as a whole, creating on the canvas a story that arises deep from the subconscious.

This painting is a captured moment of one of my walks, a beautiful bush of flowering wild rose. Whether it grew on its own or someone planted it many years ago is unknown, there are many places in my city that were once someone's gardens. It doesn't matter, it's important that I found it during my trip and remembered it so that I could create this painting later.

Russian expression "white crow" (the closest idiom in English is "the odd man out") doesn’t work now: crows can fly and, in general, are free creatures, whether black or white. But chained to their gadgets and tightly packed in social networks people are more like a poultry yard, from where you can always fly away, but no one does it. Therefore, there are not crows here, but cute chickens walking around the poultry house. And one of them seemed to understand something and spread the wings.

Modern society entangled with social networks is like a poultry yard.

I wanted to go deep into the forest and hug the oldest, but still powerful tree. To snuggle up to it and feel the strength and power that stretches through the incomprehensible connections of the forest giants. I wonder how they communicate with each other, whether they understand us, and whether this communication is similar to neural connections? A mystery yet to solve.
