Here is my art work number 660 (91x65 cm Oil on Canvas, 30P) made in 2018.


This work began during the enforced global confinement.Everyone had to face this moment as well as the uncertainty of the future. It is man 's capacity and ability to adapt in a hostile and unsuspected environment, that inspired me in this new adventure. I have baptized it IN-ADAPTED what I have been since my birth.

Zero is valueless but zero next to a number increases it's value significantly. Likewise, these lines may seem to end still there are many lines hidden inside as infinite bliss.

A tempest of a world and the inner peace within is brought alive with soft delicate strokes creating an ethereal view that you can lose yourself in. The fragile world within tied in with a few strong strokes that depict the tenuous hold to reality that is just waiting to be set free. Each painting will give you a sense of calm and tranquility that you want to hold on to.

"PALIMPSESTS SERIES": This inaugural and limited series prefigures the expected disappearance of painting, and this although paradoxically affirming here again its permanence. There is a literal step back in time, in search of the lost image, traces of its genesis and its erasure. It is a work of anamnesis which is played out concretely in the confrontation with the support. The board has difficulty delivering its undersides, layer after layer, to bring out the vestiges of buried images, victims of the ravages of time; and that even if the process of ruin is inevitable ... A fight delivered to the "painting wall", to this pictorial and graphic "palimpsest" to tear from it fragments of representation, ghostly remains, which seem to resurface from the bottom , covered, erased, repainted; so many lost images, taken in the leaf of the painting. These past representations and their alterations nonetheless take shape again from this erasure, in this entropic process in suspense, in this slow erosion of the pictorial fabric revealing its secrets ... There emerge fragments of mythical, legendary or mythological images, tragedies. forgotten, ancient representations obscurely present. A rise in time; a "formerly" laid bare, still inscribed in the material.

VANITY - PAL / N ° 8 (1998 -2010): Here, the figure of an archaic "Venus" reappears alongside the off-scale drawing of a skull in profile; he faces him as if to remind him of the inevitable peril of death. According to the adage, "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity", seems to tell him what remains of this skull inscribed in the material ... Echoing the "Vanitas painting" of the 17th century, the scene foreshadows the expected disappearance of all things and of the living itself; be it the ideal beauty of an immemorial "Venus", the sensuality of a still visible female nude, the painting itself already foreshadows its disappearance. However, we still admire the roundness and velvety of a breast, the fruitiness of its color, its skin protected by resin and wax ... The haptic dimension of the revealed material image captures our attention all the more, that she is doomed to the ineluctable erasure of which the painting already bears the traces.

Aesthetic inspiration comes from gestural spontaneity of Cy Twombly and Robert Rauschenberg's layering of elements and found materials.

This was painted directly and spontaneously, without preconception or planning, relying on instinct and experience. This creates an honest and heartfelt composition that holds layered elements of balance, playful energy and imbalance combined. The process is all important, with its contrasting marks "interrupting" and punctuating the underlying plane.

Color Field Painting from the playful handling of the power of color. There are artistic influences from Rothko, Geiger and Pollock. This picture contains various layers of acrylic / watercolor paint. And the last layer came with the kind of "drip-painting" and leads me up into infinite.. Court & Spark refers to my favorite singer Joni to whom I listen all the time while painting.


Butterfly No.3  is inspired by Mariah Carey's song "Butterfly".
When asked about where she got the inspiration for "Butterfly", Mariah stated: “Butterfly was about leaving one section of my life and moving on to another.”
A butterfly is primarily associated with symbolism of change and transformation, joy and lightness.
You will find „hope“ handwritten on the painting.
The artwork is ready to hang, edges are painted.
The signature is on the left front. It is varnished for protection.

This is an experimental, layered and slightly textured abstract composition/collage that is  shown in a Singulart collection, titled "Inspired by Robert Motherwell" (August 2021). HEGO simply dropped the colour soaked pack-twine on the layered canvas, which he had partly covered with fly screen, and let them the way they fell onto it. It all got so intertwined that it reminded HEGO of the famous Laocoön group (title).
