A seascape with many layers. Inspired by the sea just in front of my door. Not my usual abstract painting. Basically a division of a rectangle into two rectangles. Bothe parts are lightly textured.

In this piece, I sought to explore the mystical balance between light and darkness, inspired by oriental art yet expressed in a semi-abstract form. The moon, luminous and non-central, represents tranquility and enlightenment surrounded by the turmoil of blues and reds, symbolizing the ever-present change of existence. This artwork is an invitation to find peace amidst life's undying energy. Although maybe hard to see at first, this piece has so many different layers that I lost count. I started by mixing glue, gesso, sawdust and coffee grains to get a nice texture. Then gradually adding layers of paint and finishing with varnish. I wanted to create something innocent, yet profound. Once again- the moon, my favorite object to paint.

Well, I think the best way to describe the progression this painting is: A combination of randomness and lots of doodling to (almost) endless fine tuning. You can tell that a lot of pouring has been done, which results in a heavy texture. The mood of the piece reflects a somewhat twighlighted emerald garden.

In this piece, I explored the intertwining of minimalism and oriental symbolism through stark, vivid contrasts. Using acrylics, I created bold blue stripes, inspired by the calm yet repetitive cadence of nature’s cycles, framed by an ethereal, hazy background that suggests tranquility and depth. 
I think this is one of the best I did this year, maybe THE best.

This is #3 of a series of 3, all 130x80cm in vertical format. #1 and #2 are 'tilted' and 'soft touch' respectively, also here on RtistiQ...I had the vision to keep all 3 together as a 'family'.  But each one stands on its own, has its own unique vibration....Again I have used saw dust to mix with the primer to give it this special texture.  The incentive, as much as I ever have one, was to create something that looks old and wise, is man-made but made by hands, like a weaving or a carpet or a bamboo mat.  Keeping close to nature!

This one was prepared on a raw, un-primed canvas, the first layer was Gesso mixed with saw dust to give it this special texture.
5 objects was the incentive, 3 of them have 3 stripes, 2 of them have 5 stripes. That makes 10 altogether. So, for a change I had somewhat of a plan this time. The execution was a rather long process. I wanted this piece to look ancient, old and wise.
