  I use korean traditional paper called Hanji and Incense.  first I burn the incense and turn it off. the flame burn can create a remark.   I layer it on canvas  several times .  after layering it   you can see through image on canvas  and it makes harmony each other

I made incense fire holes on the hanji. overlap another hanji on the previous hanji was the next step.  the repetitive process  of burning and overlapped continued until multiple layers mingled well enough to be a single combined work.  it shows  the mountain of spring.
