Svetlana Iskoskih is an award-winning artist living in Russia whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. The subjects of her paintings are teenagers and their feelings. The artist creates a series of paintings with acrylics on canvas. Her paintings evoke feelings and make you think.

Think back to when you were a teenager and your world was vanilla pink. Everything around you seemed to be something new, kind and warm. And you're sure you can do everything you thought up in your vivid dreams.
This picture is a memory of my childhood, in which children learned the world through books, writing diaries and paper letters to each other. I remember the smell of the library and the books that were there. Ticking the clock in silence and reading Romeo and Juliet to myself was so romantic and naïve. I transferred those warm memories to canvas.

The painting is painted with professional acrylics and coated with a matte protective varnish. The colors are lush and vibrant.

This work was one of the winners of the 2021 Contemporary Art Exhibition "Water / Seascape"
Inner tranquility and silent contemplation help me to be in balance with myself. This is exactly the feeling I get when I look at the calm sea surface. It's a feeling I especially remember when I first saw the sea. It was when I was a child. My dad and I rode the train for two whole days to finally see what we had only seen in pictures. It was an unforgettable experience.

Even in the hardest of times, children give us the strength to rejoice. Their carefree lives are not filled with thoughts of the future and thoughts of the past, they feel great in the present. It is this childish creation of the world, inquisitiveness, wisdom, that I want to show in my art.
