A popular and modified version of Nakashi art and highly rich in the local motifs, Cheriyal paintings are essentially made on scrolls of Khadi cloth depicting stories from the epics, Puranas, and folktales, and were once an integral part of the religious, social, and cultural lives of the villages in Telangana.
