My favourite animal in the garden, the squirrel is delighted to see the beautifully bloomed Hibiscus. The bright yellow pollen grains dye his tail yellow and then he dusts it off. This print is a fusion of the fresh look of all-green spring and contrasting aspects like the red flower and the small animals like squirrel which enhance its seasonal beauty.

Environment

This print shows the dark side of global warming and deforestation. The tall giraffes are symbolic of the tall buildings and factories. Giraffes have come up to the sky looking for stars. They are making a wish for eating their favourite diet of leaves again and they can’t digest the stars. A cloud of smoke can be seen from the nostrils of the giraffes which are forming cloudy skies over the moon’s surface. Two bunny rabbits in the moon are suggestive of artistic, imaginative narration.

The theme of this painting revolves around the squirrels spending their Sunday on the mango tree in my backyard. The warm summer is depicted through the yellow and the lush green colour for the leaves has ready to ripe mango blossoms. Squirrels love to run across trees that spread their branches in all possible directions. A squirrel watches with surprise as a hummingbird lifts a flower from the fallen mango blossom in its beak.
