I am Astrid Dahl, an Australian artist and began my art studies in Australia and have a Masters of Art, however I am still learning. I do this by painting obsessively, experimenting fearlessly and at times teach. Teaching also teaches the teacher new things. The process of creating itself is what holds the most excitement for me. My main aim is to let the creative forces take me above and beyond my initial expectation of each work (weather it be landscapes, abstracts or organic forms) and reach my highest level of self-expression.

Chrysanthemums are an impressive flower and take many forms. They originated in north-eastern Europe and East Asia! Countless varieties exist. Its meaning is also diverse, ranging from cheerfulness, love and grief!

White Jasmine, the Star in my Garden. The Jasmine flower often symbolizes love, beauty or sensuality. Because it is a small flower and blooms at night, it sometimes symbolizes the value of modesty. This painting is painted on stretched canvas, ready to hang.
