To me the job of painting  is similar to jazz bebop; I create harmonic structures where to float while maintaining a pulse. There is no melody, there is no script, there are no rules to walk on, but there is a method, a pictorial exercise.

This tapestries looks like tiles works and the horror vacui of these tapestry is sometimes nourished by the tile works that my mother likes, those that she has always wanted for her Andalusian yard.

 I thought about developing this series when I found myself living in Istanbul and felt the weight of the city on my floor. This piece exalts the figure of Fiedrich's back so that we ourselves become that figure that prostrates itself before the force of nature to observe it and at the same time open itself towards infinity.

To me landscape is an excuse to work with painting. It is a content that arises during the process of the work. In this series, I approach landscape views from a topographical perspective. I like how this type of work connects with the current way we have to understand space thanks to drones and satellites that help us to acquaint ourselves in an abstract way with both terrestrial and extraterrestrial landscapes.

The landscape as an excuse to recount nature in the big city. Large-format pieces designed to interact with city dwellers from their tiny apartment surrounded by buildings and pollution. I thought about developing this series when I myself lived in Istanbul and felt the weight of the city on my floor. 

From an iconological point of view, this type of piece has a spiritual value. They are the path between two different dimensions. It makes us think about what death means for the human being.

Landscape

A range of primary yellow hues, the piece supports its content in the conceptual use of positive and negative to generate spatial volumes.

At the same time, these works approach, or reveal a connection with everything related to baroque painting, and the way of understanding the light veiled by this family of classic Baroque painters such as Caravaggio or Zurbarán.
